Custom web apps for local businesses

When a brochure site isn't enough: booking tools, client portals, quote calculators and simple business software built around the way you actually work.

What a custom web app can do for you

Booking and scheduling

Let customers pick a time, request a job or reserve equipment, with reminders and a calendar your team can see.

Client portals

A private login where clients see their documents, forms, invoices or project status, instead of digging through email.

Quote calculators

Customers get an instant price estimate on your site, and you get a qualified lead with the details already filled in.

Internal dashboards

One screen for jobs, inventory, orders or staff schedules, replacing a pile of spreadsheets and sticky notes.

Simple business software

Records, intake forms, checklists and reports built for your process, not a generic one you have to work around.

AI built in, where it helps

Draft replies, summarize notes or sort requests automatically, with a person still in charge of what goes out.

Built and running today

Web apps I've built

These are my own products, designed, built and run by me. They show the kind of software I can build for a local business.

Soul Care Manager features: counselee management, session documentation, forms and intake, resources and homework, supervision tracking and library manager

Soul Care Manager

Practice management software for biblical counselors. A subscription web app that handles the administrative side of a counseling practice:

  • Client records with contact details, status tracking and full history
  • A session workspace with auto-save, follow-ups and configurable modules
  • A built-in intake inventory plus a drag-and-drop builder for custom forms and surveys
  • A library of lessons and homework that can be assigned to clients
  • Supervision-hour and certification tracking, and a manager for lending physical books
  • Self-service sign-up with a free trial and per-user monthly billing

Live: soulcaremanager.com. The same building blocks fit a clinic, salon, tutoring business or any service business with client records and appointments.

The Bible Unleashed chapter view with commentary text, an on-this-page outline, a notes panel and cross-references

The Bible Unleashed

A Bible study web app. Chapter-by-chapter commentary shown beside the text, built as a content-heavy reading app:

  • Book and chapter navigation with previous/next and a quick “go to chapter” jump
  • An on-this-page outline, topic tags and cross-references beside each chapter
  • Optional accounts for highlights, personal notes and bookmarks that sync between devices
  • A listen option, reading preferences, plus glossary, bibliography and resources sections
  • Privacy-friendly by design: no ads and no third-party tracking

Live: thebibleunleashed.com. The same approach works for a product catalog, a member resource library or a searchable knowledge base.

Pricing: by quote

Custom apps range from a single calculator to a full client portal, so there is no one-size price. Here's how it works:

  1. Free scoping call. We talk through the problem, who uses it and what it has to do.
  2. Written fixed quote. Scope, timeline and price in writing. Nothing starts until you approve it.
  3. Working draft early. You click through a real version early and we refine it together.
  4. Launch and support. Hosting, backups and updates can be covered by a monthly care plan.

Not sure you need an app?

Most businesses don't, at first. A Launch Site from $750 is the right starting point for most of my clients, and you can add an app later when the need is clear.

Sometimes the answer is an AI setup or an existing tool, not custom software. I'll tell you which.

Ask about a custom app

Custom app questions

How much does a custom web app cost?

It depends on what the app needs to do, so every project is priced by quote. After a free scoping call you get a written, fixed price and timeline before any work starts. If a website or an off-the-shelf tool would do the job for less, I'll tell you.

Do I need a custom app, or is a website enough?

Most local businesses only need a good website, and that is where I recommend starting. A custom app makes sense when you keep re-typing the same information, juggling spreadsheets, or paying for software that doesn't fit how you work.

Who owns the app and the data?

You do. Your data stays yours, and the app can run on hosting in your name if you prefer.

Can it work alongside the tools I already use?

Often, yes. Many apps connect to email, calendars, payment processors or spreadsheets. We'll confirm what's possible during scoping.

Ready for a website that works as hard as you do?

Tell me about your business. You'll get a straight answer on what you need and what it costs.
